    Ditto.
Too much hype at BETT and still no real results, they keep putting back the date.
I managed to come away from BETT with 6/7 memory sticks some up to 2GB, so why anyone would wait for this unreliable service is beyond me. They are so cheap nowadays, and come in sporty bracelet form, with logo's branding etc. that schools should just buy them and give them away if they really need to.

We do buy them, and we do give them away preloaded with useful revision materials and links etc.

I know. we're getting quotes from them for the bracelet form, similar to the ones SmartBoard were giving away at BETT.

None of our staff ever recieved any either AFAIK

It was bad enough teachers but from a legal/moral point of view isn't it slightly dubious collecting personal details of school pupils so that they can be enetered into a third-party database for advertising/etc?

For the sake of a few quid to buy one, dont see the point. Virtually every student has one anyway
And look at all the stuff its preloaded with - while it would probably all be blockable, I still wouldnt want people bringing in sticks with their own anti virus on it for example. Its bad enough dealing with bloody U3
