Im not actually (for once ) i have a genuine problem and Dell are not being helpful.

I am trying to change ownership of a machine, but i have no idea of the background. To change it i need to know the name of the company the previous owners. I have no idea who it was so im stuck at the moment.

AFAIK you need to provide proof of purchase before Dell will help you, which protects customers against theft. Dell are correct - you need to provide previous ownership info.
