1. ## What percentage are we

I'm suffering 'brain fog' and just need a quick answer to a question.
If there are 108 million websites in the world and we are ranked 97,171 where in the top percentage are we?

2. 97,000/108,000,000x100=top 0.089% approx!! and rising!!!

3. Top 0.08% I think.

4. Yes ,I thought it was higher than 8.5%!

6. Calling all maths teachers!! We love you really, come back we need help

Even trying to add 2+2 makes my noggin hurt.

7. 97,171 / 108,000,000 * 100 = 0.089%...

We are well into the top half of a percent of websites (0.5%)

Pretty amazing really!

It's probably easier to say that we are one of the very top websites

Now we are 95,574

11. I don't know. I take my eye off the ball for 2 mins!

12. Even more impressive when you compare it to a sites like Betca which is at 203,592 and RM at 110,260

13. The other 0.007% are porn sites, guaranteed!!

14. ## Statistics

I'm not happy about these numbers.
Where do the figures come from? Who is #1? How are they calculated?

The new figure is 95,574/108million ~ 0.08849% however, you can't keep using a number like 108million and be as specific as 95,574 for the numerator.

What is the rate of growth in the number of websites worldwide? All those proxies i get emailed about daily (I'm on the lists for prevention of course! ) must add to the total quite significantly. That would put us up even higher

The 108 million is an answer that Google threw up when I investigated the total amount of websites in the world, and is an approximate number. The Alexa number is a pretty definitive mark of our position on the internet. It is by no 100% accurate, but we can't really argue
