Bulldog want 24.50 a month for a 2meg as the cheaper options have very strict download limits.

    Re: ISP's

I'm currently with DataComms (http://www.dcomms.net), ~£20 for a 512kbps with no download limit and a static IP.
I've been with them 2 years and the only problems I've had are caused by my crappy router.
[The website seems to be having some ASP problems right now ^^; ]

I wouldn't touch AOL with a barge pole, it's a breach of the TOS to connect using a router other than the USB one they provide (A mate of mine fell foul of that)

i would never use AOL myself, but my girlfriend uses it at home, and she never seemed to have a problem with it... but i guess she is not really a heavy user though

Any of you lot used Tiscali at all £17.99 for 2meg and no download limt doesn't seem too bad.

    Re: ISP's

Demon.net here, £19.99 a month for their 'home' option, unlimited use, 1mb line (but would be 2mb if I were nearer my exchange). No static IP but you can pay an extra fiver a month for that ('home office' option).

Rarely any downtime, only downside for me is that they've just outsourced their call centres to India and (weirdly) Scandinavia. When I moved house they didn't transfer my account properly and I had two logins at one point. Only ever got billed for one, though... so I shouldn't complain.

I've just moved from wanadoo to Nildram as my speeds with wanadoo have been terrible lately.

Hopefully the service with Nildram will be much better.

I'm with plus.net £19.99 pm for a 2mbit connection but unlimited downloads as I've been on this tariff since I joined even though now they don't offer that particular one.

Freedom 2 Surf here for me, a static IP, up to 8MB and a 20GB cap all for £19 a month, not bad service or VFM. I recomend them to many people

    Re: ISP's

PlusNet here - happy with them - have been for years. Currently at 2Mbit - upgrades free as they become available. Capped as I try not to d/l from home - do that stuff from sch remotely - keeps it down to £16. I make a lot of use of the included CGI webspace for testing etc., tho' it ain't the fastest... for free it 'does'. Mine came with a free .co.uk domain - whick doesn't attatch to the CGI space, but is sorta keeping me there 'till it expires in December.

Orange just acquiring Wanadoo are offering free broadband with thier mobile deals - if that's an option for you - haven't read the small print but it seems you need to be paying about £30 a month on your mobile contract. http://freebb.orange.co.uk/offerinfo...orangeshopv1hs
