    Freedom of speech

There is a story in the Birmingham papers today saying that Amnesty International is appealing to campaigners in Birmingham to add their names to an online pledge calling for worldwide internet freedom. The story can be accessed at http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/...name_page.html The story contains a hyperlink to an online petition where you can show your support. The LEA have censored this petition - I guess I'll have to sign it at home.

Censored a pro-non-censoring petition?... sounds about right

    Re: Freedom of speech

Actually the reason it;s blocked is for
    Spam Email URLs (su)
Probably the reason behind it is the IP range of the hosting company that the petitions website is using has been/is used by spammers.

I'll get the BGfL Web filtering Manager to look at this for you on Monday with a view to unblocking it.
