Got the missus picking me 2 up today
*phones a friend*
Isn't that about £1 more than you'd normally pay for a branded 4gb anyway?
Aldi is good but not always :
Kingston 4GB USB 2.0 Capless Data Traveler - Ebuyer
plus if you pay postage or order enough to make it free you don't even have to leave the building
Must admit its a bit high on cost, just bought these:
Buy 4GB Kingston DataTraveler 101 Flash DriveDT101C/4GB from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2008, 2007 & 2006 for laptops, desktops and computer hardware and when you buy a few the cost comes down
eBuyer's Kingston doesn't have its throughput shown though, wheras Aldi's is 12Mb/s read and 4Mb/s write, which isn't bad for £7.
Kingston DataTraveler 100 - Computer Shopper
The Kingston DataTraveler 100 isnít a fast USB flash drive, to be sure, but it's still a good budget buy.
The drive's 16.4MB per second average read speed and 7.3MB per second write speed are slower than recent drives we've tested, though not by a lot.
*shrugs* it came from the horse's mouth.

These from Play would be better - £6.49
Play.com (UK) : SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive / Ready Boost Enabled : Computing - Free Delivery
or 8GB for 9.99
or 16GB for 15.99
all with free delivery
But none of those will let me pick up a bag of spaghetti, some anti-pasta and tinned tomatoes (Aldi tinned tomatoes are great BTW) at the same time.
