A P4 3.2GHz dual core with 2gb RAM that the old technician built.

I've also got an P4 1.7 512mb RM laptop which it now about 6 years old.

Oh and an HP Priliant DL380G5, but I won't be keeping it .

How many lucky people here with dual screens
Mine is a supplier custom build, think it's 2.6ghz dual core (not at work to check) with 2gb RAM and 160gb HDD, DVD-RW, card reader etc hooked up to an Acer 19'' panel. Would love to have dual displays but cant see me being allowed somehow!!

Also trying very hard to keep hold of a HP NX7400 laptop for both home/school use although it is gradually making its way out of the office.

    Dual screens are old school.

Running a Dell Latitude D820 (Core Duo 2gb RAM and... Vista FTW!!!!) with 1x 15" monitor

NM runs 3x monitors off his lappy pretty well actually.

Ok, this is a bigger list that I thought when I started writing it:

Work: a Stone Core2Duo with 2Gb DDRII, 250Gb SATAII drive and WinXP SP3, and dual 17" iiyama monitors on a 4-port KVM.

Soft development and general use: a very trusty home-grown Athlon64 with 1Gb DDRII, twin 80Gb SATA Drives and a Viewsonic top-end 19" and mid-range Compaq 17" monitors and Debian lenny. My primary home machine, and for amd64 software builds. ('lupin')

It's less beefy because I offload a lot of software compilation onto a builder and primary mirror: a Dell Poweredge in Maidenhead, Core2Duo 2.2Ghz, 1Gb DDRII, 160Gb of SATAII and a 100Mb line straight onto the net. Also Debian, but stable - etch4r6. ('robin')

Secondary builder and backups: home-grown server in Warwick, Celeron 2.4Ghz with 1Gb DDRII, 250Gb of SATAII and a 20Mb line. And of course, Debian lenny. For i386 builds. ('sirius')

Three laptops: a Dell Latitude D530 from work, with a Core2Duo, 2Gb DDRII and Windows; an HP 6715b with AMD Turion 64x2, 2Gb DDRII and 160Gb of SATAII, with lenny as well (imaginatively named 'debian', I should really think of something better), and a Thinkpad R40 who's spec escapes me, running Fedora Core 4.

A secondary public mirror at Sovreign House, London, where I used to work: an AMD Sempron 2800+, 1Gb DDRII, and 80Gb of SATA, running FC4 on a 100Mb line (split into roles: 'heffalump', 'poohbear', 'piglet', and 'eeyore').

I also had a tertiary mirror and staging server at Sov but I retired it about a year ago, I don't remember the spec. It was FC4 on 100Mb ('kanga' and 'roo'). And because I am truly paranoid, I also had an overseas backup machine in Dallas. But now I have presence in Maidenhead and Warwick I figured I was pretty covered, and retired it.

My phone, a Neo Freerunner with - what else - Debian lenny and Zhone. ('neo')

Finally, my IPv6 router, mailserver and NAS is an ITX VIA Eden at 800Mhz, with 256Mb memory and 40Gb of space, on an 8Mb line, with lenny ('hermione' for one NIC, and 'hedwig' for the other - because everybody should have a mailserver called hedwig )

    Phew.

(I'm yet to aquire a box who's function earns it the name of 'dumbledore': that's an honour not yet satisfied by any of the others. The convention: Harry Potter for non-public machines, Winnie-the-Pooh for public ones.)

Yeh, I used to use 3x 17" TFTs in my previous life as a webhost sysadmin. On dedicated GPUs, too - never seen the Source engine look so beautiful

AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.26Ghz 2 gig ram and Vista business built by previous technician
    14" Widescreen monitor only though.

Hopefully will be upgraded this year if I can persuade them that I need something more powerful

    Self-build Celeron 336, 1GB RAM, 80 + 20GB HD, FX5500 Video, two monitors.

Anything more powerful is totally pointless for network admin. I'd rather spend the money on resources for students.

i wish i could build my own. Got a E8400 with 4GB ram, seperate GFX card... but its just sooooo slow. Im not surew what Stone do to their computers but they are never as fast as they should be. My E6750 with 2GB ram is far far faster and never suffers from hangs and crashes like my work one does.
