They've got this in on Thursday for £450. I'm getting one to replace the EduGeek Thinkpad whose 1024x768 display is really beginning to annoy me!

19th January 2009, 01:18 PM #7 Hi
My last laptop was a medion and lasted for years and the only thing that broke was the hard drive and that's not surprising as I dropped it. But I will admit the after sales is poor and it took them 4 months to answer a e-mail querry.

I'd like to see that, could buy a lot of them for staff ...
Did it have the same features as the Medion, i.e. HDMI Out, eSATA, Gigabit LAN, etc?

Yes
Go on the Dell site. Dont know if its on the educational side of the site as i tend not to go on it due to them bumping up the price of things (or cutting features) only to give you a "discount" when you order.

I got a Medion similar for around £600 a few months ago, build quality was generally quite good but the fan was constantly on and louder than my desktop so I took it back!
