    Anyone require Netbooks?

If you require Netbooks, get down to Asda.

No seriously, Acer Aspire Ones with 512mb RAM, Linux and either 120 / 160gb (Lucky dip) hard drives for £150!

I'm sorry, but we're middle class here, we don't have an Asda. We do have an M&S, of course.

"The Elonex websurfer has just 2GB of memory – not that much more than a good mobile phone – and a thirtieth of what most full-blown laptops contain."

I'm assuming the numpty means a 2GB flash drive/solid state rather than memory, cos that's pretty damn good if it's RAM! The Elonex looks interesting for just accessing the Internet, maybe even in school we could use them with our TSs?

Any more info on this one? Can anyone confirm whether this is a national offering, or just one particular store?

The spec of Aspire One mentioned is on sale on their website for £198 still...

Looks like it - the machines seem to have 128MB of RAM. I mean, you get what you pay for and all that. I wonder how easy it is to swap / rewrite the internal storage?
