Canon engineer came and fitted 3 new ones yesterday, set up IP addresses on them but didnt leave any other details. Tried all the usual things but no luck
We've got an iR3235, an iRC4580, and an iR7105, all are new so I assume they share a common default

15th January 2009, 01:56 PM #3 cheers, couldnt get that to work though
Ive got a stack of manuals from them, both printed and on cd. Does the network setup guide mention it? Of course not
Dont understand why companies regard this as top secret information. Its always a mission
Will have to contact the guy I think, which is ridiculous for such a simple query

15th January 2009, 02:43 PM #4 We have a couple of Canon photocopies on our network but it was aright pain getting them to work.
It was some time ago but I recall that drivers were needed and bizzarly they were only available from the Conadian Canon site!!!
Not 30 minutes ago I was informed that bioth of these have stopped accepting print requests so looks like some more tinkering.

The Canon guy was in again yesterday so asked him, and you have to use the department ID's to gain access. So that was as simple as using our IT number for the general use photocopier and he had set one up for the Resources ones
Now got 5 networked photocopiers!
