wahooo, havy snow, tube lines are closed, no work......... Haa haa, enjoyed with little cusin makin snow man![]()
bugger. Mini-blizzard outside the last 20 minutes. Not happy at all....
If this keeps up, I'm offski and sod the lot of 'em..

Must admit the fact that there's heavier snow on the way was the motivation for me to stick here... Got stuck the wrong side of the M62 a year or so back when all the lorries were being blown over on every main road in the gales we had so I'm not doing that again.
The missus had a mail from her boss- "I'll keep an eye on the snow - if it continues, abandon office". If that happens (and they're a 20 minute walk from home), I'm going to fetch her and do the same. I have a few jobs on the helpdesk outstanding, all can be done via VPN. If the head doesn't like it, I'll saty - IF he drives me home. If not, I will use my own judgement as to what I consider "safe". I'm just glad I did 2 skidpan courses and have an automatic with a snow mode.

M62 is notorious for being closed during high winds and snow - especially Jct 20 at Rochdale onwards towards Leeds.
Keeping eye on the weather for getting home...
Typical! I am looking out of my window and it's BRIGHT SUNSHINE! There's no justice in the world.
Also, writing the previous line made me laugh. Only in the UK could we complain about the sunshine (the little we get) and pray for poor weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are a strange lot!
School down the road is closed due to buses - we on the other hand are staying open!!![]()
I got up and ready to go to work, got in the car, took someone else too.
Got a text from a collegue to say schools shut, turned around and came home again. Person I was with was going by tube as there was "some" service on the Central line, but not here.
West London (A40) still has a good 6 inches or so. Will find out later if school is open or closed tomorrow!

@john
DEAL
send me the smow and i'll send you a box full of sunshine.![]()
I made it halfway along the DLR, before getting the dreaded 'we are experiencing severe delays due to a broken down train outside bank'.
Not sure any trains were running on the circle/district line from bank anyway, and there were no jubilee line trains from canary wharf, no southeastern trains to london bridge and no buses at all.
