Best of luck in your new job. By the end of January you'll have it all sussed and it'll feel like you've always been there.
Thanks very much to all
I am keeping one of my jobs as well so it is a case of old AND new all at the same time.
I hope it goes OK, but , if it doesn't, I know where to come for help.
And....I don't think I have ever been called adorable before.....
Was it with a sense of relief when you left the building for the last time?
I finish one of my jobs tomorrow, (despite not having had an acknowledgement to my letter of resignation yet) apparently I'm in the school newsletter though!
Did you have any sort of sendoff?
I actually didn't feel relief or sad or anything - I know it was the right thing to do. I wasn't mentioned in the newsletter but I did get a bring and share lunch today (quite a big deal as they had to 'unstagger' the lunchtimes) and £45 of M and S vouchers!
But to be honest no one really took much notice of me - some of the newer teachers barely know who I am!
I'm sorry for the TA who has been given my 6 hours - I know I said that there wasn't much to do but that is from my, hopefully experienced and knowledgable, point of view.
Still panicking about the vanilla system I am going to in Jan, and the extra hours, and, and.....well, everything really!
Is your other current school vanilla then? What system is it at the school you've just left?
Itís better to have a new challenge to rise too rather than be sat in the doldrums and bored with it all.Still panicking about the vanilla system I am going to in Jan, and the extra hours, and, and.....well, everything really!
Thats probably why I change jobs nearly every 12 months
Best of luck with your new job, i am sure everything will go smoothly and if not you always have us lot to talk to
The school I have just left is a Schoolcare school - a local co that do management systems. Nothing much to it really, just an overlay over the system - but, and most useful of all, a very helpful tech support line!
New school seems a bit of a mish mash to me - and of course with an unmanaged system there are always several ways to do the same thing -and I have to figure out which one they have used.
Not only are you "adorable" but "modest" to boot.
2 fine assets in a woman which us "Northern lad's" admire.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year I'll be thinking of you in your new position, good luck.
Easypeasy. Ill send you those passes on the weekend. For the website just to let you know if your there longer than 2 years siteground.com will needed to be paid again for more time. I bought 3 years worth when last I checked.
I redirected from SWGFL to point to sitegrounds servers as its their domain.
Still, I know where you are, don't I! How's the new job going anyway?
Thanks again Bossman, I wish it was modesty, but really I am just honest about how little I really know!
But I know lots of men (and women) who know everything
Have a lovely Christmas
@Griffo - good luck, I hope you manage to change more than I could when I was there. It was a good school, but sometimes it was like hitting a brick wall when you wanted to change things
you better keep an eye out for my card xxx
Good to see at your "other" school with TC a week or two ago - was a surprise to both of us meeting like that in the staffroom
Your new school is lucky to have you, and you'll be fine. Look forward to seeing you there, or on another training course (I know, you just can't wait! )
Have a great Christmas.
