Not for me, for my fiance.
I was going to get her a luxury hair/facial treatment thing, being pampered all day but I told her of my idea and she said she didn't want to spend the day alone doing that, so I now need another idea.
I was pretty much banking on her liking that so I have no idea what to do now!

15th December 2008, 10:42 AM #6 What about a half day but for two, so she can take her mum/friend/you?
Or a few separate treatments so that she can do them on different days and she won't be alone for a long time: eg facial, massage, reflexology etc

Yeah you could both do it so she's not alone.
You can usually get a full day in the spa ie pool/sauna/steam etc... then just have a couple of treatments that you go to then back around the pool. Hot stone therapy is a must! head massages are great aswell but you end up falling asleep after about 5 minutes!

15th December 2008, 10:54 AM #8 she already has a spa treatment for two which we are doing in feb.
This was what i had in mind for Xmas: Sally Montague Hair Group - The White Room in The Old Hall Salon
I know it's slightly less personal, but I'm thinking gifts for the house as we nearly have our dining room complete. My dad will be getting us a dining set, so I need to think of other things to get

Never mind your fiancee or my husband: will you marry me?!!
It looks wonderful
I know its an extra £50 but I am sure a morning for her and a friend would go down really well -it certainly would here

If you can find us a wedding venue that won't go into receivership you're on
I think she was saying she doesn't really want a present where we will be apart, something we could both share.
The spa is for both of us in Feb so that will be OK, and I think any sort of experience days aren't going to be that great so something practical (but not an apron!
)

16th December 2008, 08:03 AM #15 If you are thinking of spending around £100 - how about a night in a posh(ish) hotel?
Or dinner and a show?
Or a day out shopping and then the above? - but all planned?
I know Nottingham is good for shopping but you could take her somewhere else? (not Mansfield!)
Can you get anywhere on a plane, cheaply? We can get to Edinburgh for a couple of quid sometimes - a friend just went Christmas shopping there - cheaper than catching a bus into Bournemouth!
