That makes scary reading.
I have just installed Ubuntu onto a laptop at home and when my children want to use a computer for their homework or surf or whatever they now use that, I think that it's important for my children to know that computers don't start and end with microsoft and indeed mac.
I think they should try everything, they both just use either the ubuntu machine or my windows desktop, they don't seem to have any preferences.
cheers
Adrian

Wow. That is awful! Jaw droppingly bad form from the teacher.

'There's no such thing as free software' - here, have an ubuntu cd.

It's a sad truth that some people truly believe that.

I just want to know the outcome of his meeting!

That's shocking ... actually... it's not that shocking, which is more worrying!

Don't agree with a fair bit of what he says in his reply, to much Linux zealousness for my liking, but being as ignorant as that teacher is just wrong.

They need to try everything & make their own decision.

It had to happen eventually didn't it?

It's frankly ridiculous, people who don't understand something should keep their traps shut, else they will look like complete idiots.

This is either a troll or a woman that needs a serious slapping and / or sacking for such ignorance.
