Anyone else having a problem with Google this morning ?
Whatever I search for we get a 403 with the message:
We're sorry...
... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spy ware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spy ware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software.
If you're continually receiving this error, you may be able to resolve the problem by deleting your Google cookie and revisiting Google. For browser-specific instructions, please consult your browser's online support centre.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope we'll see you again on Google.
Ive done a full spyware check and everything is clean

Interesting. Could be the seperate proxy servers we are using from different ISP's.

10th December 2008, 09:26 AM #6 Happens on ocassions here....
But as a pre-warning, this problem seems to be a prerequirement for the Anti-Virus 2009 installer, that spyware/bloatware/adware/virus that automatically installs.

Think me and brookesandrew have traced it to a problem with our ISP - Redstone.

Is your access through a proxy, especially an ISP/RBC proxy? Most likely it isn't you, but someone else using the same proxy.
Of course if Google has done anything to upset the IWF you may well be using a "transparent" proxy even if you think you are connecting directly.

Latest from Redstone is that one user on their platform has been sending alot of traffic to Google. They are working on tracing that user down.
