    Guess what I'm doing....

Got ourselves a Ion Tape2PC gizzmo, so I've hooked it up to a spare box, stuck Cool Edit Pro on it - [ the software it came with is crap ] - last night I went through my many many boxes of tapes in my loft and got my 'Street Sounds' collection - [ only the old farts of the forum may remember those ] shoved a load of them in my Givi box on my bike and I have now started dubbing them off - [ done the first one, now currently listening to Street Sounds 18 Side 2 ]

    Life ? I don't have one....

No problem, I'll stick em up as some MP3s and you can DL them from my NAS box at home - by the end of today I'll have Street Sounds 18 & Street Sounds 2.
I can't be arsed to split the tracks so you get a nice long 40 mins of single MP3.....
The Street Sounds 18 sounds a little stretched in places but not that bad. I also have some old 'Up Front' albums - remember those ???

Cool edit pro is great though
I have the new Adobe Version of it I must up-grade too at some point.....

CEP does a great job of removing the hiss [ I am dubbing it with Dolby Off otherwise the top end sounds crap on the tracks ] - After running it through the various default settings on CEP it does a great job of tidying it up.
I save it as a windows WAV then use mediacoder to code it to MP3 and other formats. [ I have the MP3 plug ins for CEP but prefer mediacoder ]
