Trying to find who said this quote:-
"How do you know where your going if you don't know where you have been" sure I have seen it credited to Tony Robinson when he was talking about teaching of history in schools.
Anyideas
Russ
I think it is one of those things said by many people in many ways. So may be hard to attribute. One version is "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." by Santayana

Your Google-fu is weak today:
"quote tony robinson know where going know been"
First result:

Thats it up thank you.
It has been a long day honest
Russ

Actually, he seems to say this:
"How can we know where we're going unless we know which way we're facing?"
Which isn't quite the same thing.
I think Santayana's quote is the one you really want

My favorite quite on the same lines was "History always repeats itself because we didn't listen the first time."

Going to have to wait until I get home and see if the worm in the Labyrinth says something similar.
