I doubt there have been many better ads than the surfers Guinness one.

Quite like the "Colours" series, Sony or Panasonic ISTR. Exploding paint and bouncing balls etc.

The one with the exploding paint was great and apparently they did it for real - I just presumed it was CGI when I saw it first

The Sony Bravia "Paint" advert was do by Phoenix Fireworks.

They were last year's winners at the British Musical Fireworks Championship held for the last 10 years in Southport.

As for adverts, I do like the Barclaycard ad, the music from the CSL Advert and the Calpol ad!

Some old ones are Um bongo (way down deep in the middle of the jungle), Kia Ora (too orangey for crows)

I'm not sure, there's a whole series of out takes on the DVD where bits don't work properly!

I liked the Apple Tango advert, where a guy is laid on his back in his basement, and his hallway is full of juice from processed apples, as he has them posted through his letterbox and put through a liquidiser. Eventually it falls through the floor into the basement and covers the guy. You know when you've been Tango'd.

YouTube - Tango apple. Postman, 6.4 woof.

The best of the Tango ones had to be the "You know when you've had Sprouts" one - advertising to the level of not even having to say the name of the product.

It was filmed in glasgow. A few mates of mine went to watch them film it. Took them a couple of days.

It looks like computer graphics, so I wonder why they didn't. Must have cost a fortune doing it for real.

    Great photo.

The Sony Bravia bouncing balls advert was also very good, with music by Jose Gonzalez

Yep..the Bravia ones, the Skoda ones, and the Honda ones I really do applaud. No poncy CGI, no cheesy voiceovers, just genuine inspiration and fun.
