Mine's an obvious reference to a classic computer game.
I do web stuff.
It's what most people know me as, so I thought I'd just go with it and see how I got on.
I used to be NedG on another forum, however there was a spate of using Ned as a derogatory term (it's scotish for chav), so I became K.C. Leblanc.
Why? Because some site told me it was my pornstar name.

I got mine from the back of an old HDD. We had a small stack of HDD's with pictures drawn on them in white circuit board 'ink'. The best one was a Samurai Beaver. So my in shop LAN gaming tag was Samurai Beaver, but then I got called ninja for a few stealth kills and changed the name to 'NinjaBeaver' and it's stuck with me ever since, and it was easy getting the forum name accounts with that as well. I just wish I had kept the HDD with the pciture on it. We had boats, aircraft, tanks and other things on them as well.

Mine was automatically given to me when I had my first ISP account about 12 years ago.
When setting up EduGeek I needed an account to test messaging and other settings, so I created Dos_Box. Once people started to join (quite unexpectedly I must admit!) I was logged on as that account when I started to reply to people with it. After that I saw no reason to change, and it offered me a certain degree of anonymity from those with more jealous motives.
Same as WithoutMotive, mine is the name of my blog.
Of course, the question then becomes "Why did you name your blog that?"

Mine came from a colleague at an old employer, I used to wear black shirt and tie and he thought I looked like someone from the mafia and as such he started calling me triggmiester????? it was either that or trigg trigolo (deuce bigolo reference)
this is also my ebay name as well
Failry obvious really...Dangermouse was taken
self explanatory - I enjoy macs and wanted something better then ninja and as per Ninja - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I thought that the stealth part linked in nicely with the macs since you can enable stealth mode on macs well at least with os xninja and shinobi-no-mono (as well as shinobi) may be translated as "one skilled in the art of stealth."
Mine's not really short for network manager - actually I'm semi-aquatic, but missed the 'w' out when I signed up!
