    I passed my test recently too - theory I passed first time, but practical it took me three times believe it or not! Driving makes life so much easier. The examiner, the route and a bit of luck on the day are all needed. Birmingham does have some tricky roads as I'm sure other cities do too.

    The DVLA have recently introduced yet another requirement they refer to as "driving green" which in my view, isn't driving at all It basically means planning ahead, keeping the car moving as much as possible and not over revving.
    I've also heard rumours that the theory will be increased to 75 questions from the current 50. It'll include questions to do with car maintenance in addition to what we have now.

    It seems the UK has some of the highest standards in the world when it comes to driving. If they make it too hard, I think it'll just encourage more illegal driving in my opinion.

    When it comes to the driving test, surely. Most days I see examples of driving which can't be even close the highest standards in the world. In fact, I think if you gave a toddler a car they could do at least as well...

    Me too I was glad to get it done in the end it just costs so much these days oh how I wish I had done it when I was younger!

    Most days I see examples of driving which can't be even close the highest standards in the world.
    I think this relates to this

    I think it'll just encourage more illegal driving in my opinion.
