The artic comes to Warwickshire
Got up this morning.
Car doors frozen shut and so much ice on the windows it takes 20 minutes to scrape it all off.
Only to find the gearbox was frozen as well. Ten minutes with a fan heater and I'm finally off. And the wheels were frozen to the pavement as well!
Drive twenty miles to work and they've hardly had anything! A light frost.

I'm in Warwickshire too, had the whole ice-as-thick-as-wood frozen locks problem, but no snow. Drive to work and its bright sunlight and snow! How does that work?!

Yup, couldn't open the car doors this morning for fear of pulling off the door handles. Then had to scrape both the inside and outside of the windows for about 20 minutes.
Good job they went gritting last night the roads were surprisingly clear.

I think they forgot to grit the slip road on to the A46 near me as it was a bit slippery! The car in front nearly span out - scary stuff.

Bright sunshine in my bit of Kent. Other half has emailed me from Surrey (near Redhill) - about 40 minutes away (subject to the vagaries of the M25) where they've got about 2 inches down round the office! "Definitely enough for a snowman"
My son is extremely jealous!

We had sleet yesterday, and today we have....frost!
It's a hard life down here in the effete south!

We had beautiful crisp frost and autumn sunshine yesterday here in the Lakes - very pretty up here at this time of year. Today - tiny amount of snow but very cold and frosty.

How dare you have Snow in Kendal, no snow with us, just bitterly cold, looked like it could snow though but didnt
As for my home, cold, no snow either and but was sunnier than the Lakes was today.

I didn't see any snow in Kendal, and I drove past your school Jarod!

Frozen gearbox???? I'd get that looked at. Oil shouldn't freeze...
As to door locks - WD40..and doors freezing shut - you can't beat vaseline.
We had snow..and ice. Since it was half term, I just smiled and plugged my solar panels into the car to keep the battery happy, then went for a cuppa and sit by the fire with a book.

It was the sheer amount of ice - and the thickness of it that did it. Should have taken a picture.
