We're dog-sitting for some friends who have gone abroad.
Daughter leaves laptop on sitting room floor.
Dog pees on laptop on sitting room floor.
Dog pee fries the inverter board and makes the laptop smell really bad.
Daughter has hysterics as all her coursework is on the laptop and no, she's never backed it up.
Dog gets to spend the rest of the day sitting in the back garden.
I get to recover all the data from the hdd and clean the laptop. Great.
Tomorrow, I'm making an insurance claim. I wonder if they'll believe me at Churchill?

I tried phoning but was in a queue first thing so I'm going to try later. Looking at my policy I don't know if I'm covered as it was hardly accidental was it - the dog chose to pee on it?!

Hmmm 'The laptop was accidently broken by accidental peeing' sounds kinda funny but I'm sure you can argue the point. Im sure it would be considered accidental if a child killed the laptop thinking its a toy or the rule should really apply here
... Oh i hate insurance.. so eager to take your money but its like trying to bleed a stone to get them to pay up.
