    Merge Pictures together

I've been asked to find some software that can merge photos together, blend then into each other make a montage of photos how ever you want to put it.
I know photoshop CS2 used to have this function, does anyone know of any software pref free but it don't matter if there is a price
I'm just looking at the Gimp at the moment

    Cheers

I'd go for photoshop. The educational price is pretty low. You could try paint.net which is free but I've never tried merging. It does have alot of photoshop features.

What kind of merging are you after? Are you thinking about stitching images together to make panoramas, make a colarge etc?

errmmm if you place some pictures on a piece of paper and merge the edges so there is no solid lines and they merge together if that makes sense

As a school employee you should be able to get education pricing which may be cheaper. Check with Adobe.
