Its that time of year again when I have to do a performance review for my technician.
I've been asked to draw up a list of routine jobs that he needs to undertake, from things like getting paper to doing virus checks. What other things can I add to the list?

30th September 2008, 07:20 PM #3 I don't understand why you'd be reviewing his performance by brain storming what he "should" be doing if you don't have a clear set of guidelines already.
If it's a list of what 'A' technician should be doing in your environment, that's different but I think your best bet is to ask the person what they do in a typical work day and work from there.
I routinely ask my team what they've spent most of the last week doing as it helps me in planning procedural advances to keep a happy balance between proactive and reactive work.
The best person to ask about a job is the person who does it, not the people who write the job description for it.
