    Macbook. 13" and well within your price range. If you dont like OS X wipe it and install Windows XP or Vista

    If you can handle 12.1" the Tosh Portege M700 range will make you warm and fuzzy.

    We have just bought 2 of theese ... fantastic.... Lighter then the Mac Air and thinner because this has a built in DVD where as the mac is all style over substance without an optical drive

    Eee PC with windows? or the linux one and wipe it and stick Windows on it?
