Uploaded my grossly unsafe workroom - due to untidyness and the fact i'm running 12 sockets from 1 double wall socket. ...well I had to 'move in' so that when the block is re-furbished it won't be 'new work' but just 'improvements'.

Ill have to get some pics up of my office and server room, the office is actually quite big, problem is i sit right next to a huge window and i get blinded by the sun all day, also the window does not shut so my desk gets wet during the winter

Well the tidying of my office is coming along quite nicely - I've even cleared enough space on my desk for the second monitor (the fact that the classroom next door is full of junk is beside the point.

I am getting a bit concerned that the builders still haven't started work on knocking the two room together that will become my new server room. :? Oh well... we'll just be one RE room down at the start of term - no great loss!

Here's a pic of what has now been christened NASA Control - the pic doesn't really do it justice. I will add the new pics of the tidy office and new server room when they are completed.

nice

I hate: black keyboards, TFT's and bright light and computers.

Ah, that's better - don't feel jealous any more! :P

One advantage of a black keyboard is that it doesn't show the dirt as easily - after you've been scrubbing about on the floor or messing about in a dusty old computer you never seem to have chance to wash your hands!

I must admit my mouse is shite but you never seem to get the good stuff in our line of work.

As for the bright light, that window has shiny silver stuff on it to keep the sunlight out and there is a blind as well.

I liked having my Dell 'Midnight Grey' (or should that be gray?!) keyboard. But now all our new computers tend to have black keyboards, the exclusivity is lot a bit

I'd like a Cherry keyboard and one of those laser mouse jobbies from Logitech... besides Dos_Box has twin 18" monitors (granted without the UV filters).

lol i think this is turning into a "whos got teh biggest monitor" thread,

I got 2x Dell 1905FP 19" TFTs in 2 tone (no black :P, jus silver and grey)

anyone here gone beyond the greedy line and gone the whole hog with 3 monitors (and can justify it? lol)

Ah... but spot the shiny SFF Dell next to them - hardly counts if you have a decent machine too!

As for justification - it's ace being able to have a TS/Citrix session open on one and modying/testing stuff on the other!
