http://www.thearrow.co.uk/ Some random current favourites: The Mountain Goats (John Darnielle is probably the best lyricist ever) Spoon (great band - check out the album 'Girls Can Tell') Better Than Ezra Tom Waits Ritchie Blackmore (seen him in concert a few times. i've been playing guitar for over 20 years, but he just makes you want to give up as you know you just can't get close) Belle and Sebastian Matthew Sweet (check out Kimi Ga Suki Raifu) Casiotone for the Painfully Alone (acquired taste, but great songs - check out 'Etiquette') Frank Black (check out Fast Man / Raider Man) Darren Hanlon (great songwriter) My Morning Jacket Last edited by jinnantonnix; 23-07-2008 at 12:44 PM.. | |

Rep Power: 0 | I used to listen to The Arrow on my DAB, but the station went off air. They used to have an excellent programme that played 1960/70s rock on at 9pm each night. Planet Rock's 9am connection competition is a challenge every weekday morning. |

Blog Entries: 1 Rep Power: 36 | Quite a mix really Mainly... Drum & bass - LTJ Bukem, Total Science, London Elektricity. The atmospheric/soulful type. House/Trance/Electronic - Like Groove Armada, Moby, William Orbit, Royksopp, Goldfrapp Female vocals - KT Tunstall, Feist, Amy McDonald, Adele, Gabriella Cilmi I don't mind a bit of jazz or indie-rock such as Coldplay (new album is excellent). Recently discovered other artists such as The Radio Dept, The Cinematic Orchestra, Red Snapper, Telepopmusik, and Sigur Ros which I quite like. I won't say I'd listen to anything though.. there's a lot of crap and drivel out there that I just can't stand. Like Neil Young, Neil Diamond, 50s/60s/70s/80s music, rap/R&B, rave, Last edited by webman; 23-07-2008 at 01:52 PM.. |

Rep Power: 4 | A little bit of most things. Rap - Oldskool is usually better, some 2pac, NWA, Snoop and such. Also some new stuff like FiddyCent, Eminem, Ludacris. Metal/Rock - Some old stuff, some new stuff. Offspring, Greenday, Some Marilyn Manson, Nickleback, Guns&Roses. But also like some Indie stuff like Arctic monkeys, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, Pigeon detectives. (seen all of those indie bands live which helps) Dance - Tiesto, hard house, Prodigy, anything with a good beat to it, lots of bass and you can dance to it really. Dance music is the thing I love most of all though. Reach for the lasers!!! |

Rep Power: 18 | Another vote for planet rock here! Usually have it on in the office, but the two guys I work with aren't as keen on it, so I'll normally find the radio station changed when I go out of the office for five minutes! I prefer Live music, goto a lot of gigs and festivals, and a lot of local pubs that have live bands playing as well. Anyone else going to Reading or Leeds festival this year?? Mike. |

Rep Power: 1 | 80's and 90's pop / rock mainly. Mostly it'd be Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi and Guns & Roses, but I like my 90s pop too. Virgin Radio tends to be my daytime station, while at night I tend to use what i have on my pc. |
