Hehe one of the staff has brought their PC in for me to take a look at 'cos it's running a bit slow, it's got 192Mb RAM so i thought i'd kindly stick a spare 512 stick in it and found this lot:
Penny is there for scale
=D
It still had the quality control sticker, untouched, over the side case opening i broke it to get in!

OMG thats terrible,
Yuck!!!!!
Just blew inside it to get the dust off the heatsink and i think someone's been spraying purfume near it i can taste it, blinkin horrible!!!

Can't see it. I assume it's posted on one of the free image hosting sites?
Yeah imageshack, blocked here....
I bet if you open up most "domestic" PCs you'll find they look like that - they're often put on the floor in bedrooms and they do a good job of keeping the dust down by just sucking it into the machine :-)
Really, it's a tribute to the quality of the thermal design of the machine that it just keeps working anyway!
when im smoking a fag all the smoke gets sucked in through the panel in the side of my antec 900, blown through the thermaltake 120 extreme and then out the back![]()

I see some like this on occasion...makes me cringe..
I saw one with a HS that was utterly choked and a cooked fan...the woman used "shake 'n' vac" a lot...bloody menace.
That and "bedroom" PCs full of talc..
My rig is kept spotless...
Sorry, for those that couldn't see, didn't realise you could attach pictures

**don't know if you want to delete the other post mods**

we had one once where the dust had caked about 1/4" into the heatsink between the fins. it came out solid.
posted them again as attachments in another thread because u can't add attachments after you've posted it
