    And First Great Western...

Their public transport does look awesome! I especially liked the fact they give you a card to give your employer if the train is late!

Ok, with the risk of being boo'd at.

I love top gear, I think Jeremy is great, Nissan GTR is fantastic, I used to have a Nissan Skyline , best car ever.

and the race was funny and everything, but it was not really a race between a GTR and a bullet train was it?, that was only a small section of the race, if the bullet train left at the same time and they did not change to other trains, subways, buses, etc, the GTR would no where near of won.

Sorry, I love watching it and dont have a bad thing to say about it, but just needed to say that.

Its basically like the news the other day "first ever man to be pregnant and give birth to a baby", I am sorry, THIS IS NOT A MAN ITS A WOMEN!!!

    'I think I need a break'

Yes and 1 minute counts as late!

Its all so stupidly faked and over the top, its why I dont normally bother watching it.
Did they genuinely accidently end up on seperate trains? I doubt it.
Did Clarkson accidently turn his satnav off? I doubt it
Did they actually arrive at the destination within minutes, as they always manage to do? Blatently not

Its a shame, because they are quite funny (as much as I hate that smug right wing pr1ck Clarkson) but the fake stuff ruins it for me

Precisely. Our trains are slow mainly because we have the wrong sort of tracks laid. Virgin attempted to improve this but ran into obstacle after obstacle, think Mr Branson is regretting it now :P

Basically railtrack (I think) have to lay new rails to support something like a bullet train or maglev, then theres the trains themselves... Plus we still need to support cargo trains e.t.c.

Obviously, this stuff costs a bomb and our lovely country can barely afford to run trains as it is despite hiking up ticket prices through the roof.

The politics comes into play where you have different rail operators throughout the country, and nobody wants to claim responsibility for paying for new upgrades (why would you when you can continue ripping off people with old kit), then theres a general body who run the rails themselves (I think)... It's all very confusing.

TopGear should be taken light heartedly, it’s more a comedy now, yes I know they must put some of it on think but you just have to laugh and take it with a pinch of salt. If you want a real motoring show 5th Gear to name one.

I just love the respect they have for each other in Japan and telling people to stop using their mobile phones do that here and you’ll be verbally abused or stabbed.

Apparently not though. They plan it to try and make it close and then it is all down to them. Crew aren't allowed to be involved, so just the presenters trying to follow the plan.

    So to answer your questions:
    Yes.
    Yes.
    Yes.
