    I've been told that I cannot go as I have not been able show exactly what I want to look for and benefits there will be for the school.

    benafits for school

    all stuff that came out of helpdesk show now about 5 years ago is now being promoted by becta i.e fits is rebranded and lslightly modfied version ITIL.

    So going to this will mean you you will be getting ideas now on what will be becta's vision of good ict support in education in few years time. So school will be starting to be at fore front of leading ict support.

    for example following semnair

    you could put argument forward in two years time becta wil start to look at where commercil world have done good practice and transfer that to education sector.

    which means in two years time if we implemnt good practice now you will be a leading school..
