    Leather pouch for iPod

£69! For less than a foot squared of leather, some sort of velour interior and an "ingenious" ribbon?

Poor Norphy. Did you just get run over by the iPod bandwagon?

Personally, I bought myself an iRiver instead.

Good god no! The only MP3 player I own is the MP3 CD Player in my car. I was browsing El Reg and saw that. I had to say that somewhere and since my other regular haunts seem to be blocked by e2bn's filter at the moment I did so here

Or you could buy the "iPod Hi-Fi" (3 speakers in a box, only works with iPods) for £300..... or buy a set of desktop speakers from Argos that will work with any media player.

I know which one the Apple fanboys will go for

Hehe.. it's OK GrumbleDook, you can stay around and give us your verdict on the iPod Hi-Fi and the leather case.... it'd be interesting (but pointless) to see if you can use both at the same time

I agree, Ipod stuff is very expensive, my sister wanted an Ipod, I said not on your PC with Itunes, she got a Creative Zen, now fine they dont have the posh Apple Idock thingys, or Altec Speaker stations, but she has a pair of £30 Altec Speakers, which plug into it, and its excellent sound, and far better than and Ipod, so its just like paying £70 for a pair of Levis expensive Jeans VS Asdas George brand.

iPod stuff isn't *too* bad to buy- I'm more worried about the price of the new Mac Mini and the fact that it has that horrible shared memory architecture intel 950 graphics chip!!!

    Apple made me sad yesterday.

I'm scarred for life now. I even bought a new Dell desktop this week.

    Forgive me Steve...
