When did Russell Brand get an account here?

Couldn't it start off as an online scheme? As in, the awards are posted on here and maybe an ad in a computer mag with them in? Then from there you can gauge the response, and see if it is worth pursuing for a second year, maybe more grandiose than the year before?

That way, the initial cost would be relatively low, but could be ramped up for future years, as sponsors would be more forthcoming due to a good response in the first year.

    Just an idea anyway.

This is something we have talked about on and off over the years. I remember the first time it was mentioned and the only trophies I could source at short notice involved people in various stance such as leaning over a pool table, throwing a dart or kicking a ball!
In all seriousness do you all think it would be an idea we should consider, and if so what categories would we have?

I think it's a great idea - suppliers could put a Which style award badge on their websites; assures any geek worth their salt, raises the standing of the community and helps suppliers convince new customers of their reputation. I can't see a downside!

Not necessarily needing trophies to be awarded certificates would be good enough and they could be posted to the winners to have framed for their office walls.

Best sponsor as voted for by the mods
