    He did but it has been said by most that James was in the running and probably was the best keeper in the league (ageism that's what it is :-))

    Was the best English keeper, even better than Ben Foster who has been very promising.

    i do rate james..ever since his liverpool james even though he ahd some clangers...i still think he should be englands number 1 for a good year or so more! he also should have been involved way after the 2-0 defeat away to croatia...it was a shame we had mcdonut around!

    I am the 1st to admit that when we were rumoured to be signing James, I thought 'oh no!'

    But he has been absolutely outstanding for us both seasons now and looks like he can easily play on for another 3 years at least

    They often say keepers improve with age and really don't hit the top of their game untill 30+, David James moves so well still i could see him making another three years easily.
