Saturday - beers and BBQ all day and night.
Sunday - beers and BBQ then to Fratton Park to watch Pompey lose AGAIN! then back to mine for more beers and BBQ![]()

My weekend was spent going to pick up a new kitten, calming the missus down, noting the address to call the RSPCA, then taking him home and bathing, feeding and playing with the little chap, and introducing him to Hex, our existing cat.
Some washing has been done, the rest of the weekend was spent avoiding the heat and doing little jobs like rebuilding the garage up/over door. In between feedings. If he's 6 weeks, I'm an OSX expert. 6 inches long, 2 high, blue eyes, no weight at all, needs handwashing (although Hex is teaching him).
zzzzzzzzzzzz indeed.revising for 70-290 all weekend! zzzzzzzzz

More details on the pocket rocket please :-)
I built a bit of decking for a mate in his back garden, 4m x 3m, bloody knackered, legs ache, and very sore, very hot, but end result looks amazing.![]()

Wing span 940mm - Length 840mm - Weight 1.75kg - Engine required 40-50 size - Radio required 4 channel
Available as kit only
or with West Eurotech 50 V1 engine and pipe
I have a .53 engine which is good for a shade under 2hp. I will be getting a tuned pipe which will give a little more rpm and even more speed.
That's 2 hp in something that weighs in at less than a laptop, with no drag and the aerodynamics of a dart.
When you come away from flying it your face hurts, from grinning so hard.
Oh and its also a little bit loud.
This is not me,

flys the same though.
Looks pretty cool, how much does one set you back?
Can't get youtube here so i'll look later.
Friday - Got drunk
Saturday - Did some C++ college work and watched Hot Rod
Sunday - Got very very drunk
All in all, I very productive yet relaxing weekend (I wonder why haha) until I was driving to work this morning and some T*@+ nearly ploughed into my front side. It seemed to take forever to brake and when I turned to look at Amanda (mid-braking) her face was a picture.
I don't even think the guy knew what he did! Or if he did he didn't acknowledge it!
£70 for the plane.
plus 3 servos @£15
Plus receiver and batteries at £75
Plus engine @ £80+
So roughly £300 wizzing around with the life expectancy of a pogo stick tester in a mine field. Its not a sport for the faint of heart. Any crash at 100mph+ is going to leave nothing but a large hole and some matchwood and a very very unhappy IT support tech (it would be a bad week too forget your password).
Went out Friday night then spent most of Saturday recovering. Yesterday i got up at 5am and walked up Mount Snowdon, spent more than 6 hours walking around Snowdonia and it was a beautiful day. Had a pint afterwards then went home to watch the footy, after the footy went out for a couple more pints. Pretty good weekend for me.
Friday night got a good ol'stomp on at a rock bash.
Saturday went for a jog round a bit of coast and learnt that I couldn't outrun a cow. In the evening spent too long playing Crusader Kings.
Sunday had to run to a shop to make up for forgetting an older brother's birthday (beer makes it better) and then trek to twin brother who was working on his boat to bring him some grub (sucking up to him so I can thieve his boat for a bit of fishing in the hols). Sunday evening hit the beach for a bit of volleyball (still got sand in my ears)
Hmmmm looks kind of fun, my neighbour used to fly helicopters but i didn't get around to getting one. I can feel the flames in my pocket already.
I might look into something that costs a bit less and isn't lightening fast to start though :-)
