Just 4 of those and you get the same cooling as the one in my server room :P
I've never had much luck with portables. Usually find you need to sit right in front of it and then you tend to get a slight breeze. Is this one much different?
I brought a AC/Heater for home last year £80 from Argos and it was OKish! Anyone had any luck with this one?

I only posted it for the paupers who need cooling in their offices ASAP... I just ordered a 15000BTU unit to replace the one in my office that ate itself (bloody fan inside fell apart which then snapped ALL the fins off). The server room one is a fixed split unit with more than enough capacity for the time being.
Ooh might try and sell that to SLT.. though i think that they will crumble once all my servers have died of heat exhaustion.!!

Is that really an Air Conditioner though the blurb sounds more air cooler AKA blows water in the air to make it feel cooler.
they have sold out anyway!
Does anyone know how loud it is? We're looking for an Air Con/Cooler for our office but don't want something that's gonna give us ear aches!
We have something similar in our office, it is only slightly more noisy than any big old school air con unit, I am sitting a good 10m away and want to turn it off as I am getting cold, but granted there are good ones and bad ones.

Installed split-level ones have to be checked regularly. Every 6 months on ours. I guess this is partly due to Legionnaires Disease. Anyone know if there is a HSE policy on portable jobbies?
