Going over to the dark side

This oblique Star Wars reference has nothing to do with ConcernedK by the way!

I have been offered a new job.....

    at a school in Tenerife.....

    As a TEACHER!!!

    I'm sorry....
    I know....

The force of the dark side was too strong!

[Cue Darth Vader having an asthma attack noise]

But until September, I'm still using the force for the powers of good!

Well we may allow you to redeem yourself if you arrange the next Edugeek conference in your new employers country..

Of course the bar will still need to be free to ensure our total support..

"Blackmail"? I prefer "constructive incentive and consequence framework"

Sorry John, you'd have to come to the other side of the Pennines!

Probably a daft question but you'll be teaching IT, right?

    Best of luck with that.

I'll be over there from the 31st October, so if you want any Yorkshire pudding or Pontefract cakes bringing over just slip me the wink.

Teaching - what a relief - I thought you were going to work for Lancs/Cumbria tech "support" :P

Then we'd never have spoke to you again

(This weeks advice from our "support" team - have you tried plugging a laptop directly into the router when i asked if our network connection was working - of course I have - its the first thing I do!- I just love climbing up a ladder with a laptop balanced on one arm - its time to even up the batting - i need a cunning plan [/RANT] )

Anyway - back on topic - great news - hope to celebrate with a pint at the conf

    regards

    Simon

    LOL.

That's what i thought when he said the dark side. I'd assumed he meant the authority 'service provider'.

Certainly wasn't expecting a teaching job in tenerife of all places.

I suspect I'll be running out of Nescafe regular coffee and Colmans mustard by then! ;-)
