We are currently looking at updating our college website, I have already spoken and had a visit from one company called webanywhere (any feedback from people who have used them would be great) does any know of any other company’s out there or who they are currently using for their school website.

You could a lot worse than INCO Software solutions. Really helpful, and technically excellent.
I know a school that used Studio 2 Online and they were impressed. They're not local to you though.
