Another addition to my areas of expertise
One of the teachers just brought me a socking great WWII machine gun shell to see if I thought it was safe. The detonator cap had been removed and there was no cordite in it, so I said as long as nobody dropped it on their foot!!!

Is this safe as the staff member bangs it about in the boot of thier car the mind boggles sometimes...

What surprised me most was that when I took it apart I noticed it was a tracer bullet. Nobody I have asked in school, including the male teacher involved who is approaching 60, knew what a tracer actually was.

Um, even though it's deactivated and from WW2 it might be illegal to have it in your possesion.......!

No actually all the heads (and the associate ones IE Deputys and Assistants) will all be 40+
