It was about unifying the system not really about power (well maybe a bit) but ff we carry on and change it then someone else will be unhappy we could change the system every week It's one of the most ridiculous ideas this year.

There are already other time keeping methods in use UTC for example which seems to be used for astronomical stuff as it is more precise.

Most people use GMT based time though and I think that it would be stupid and divisive to demand a change just because they feel like it. I think it comes back to the same old story of another pack of religious nuts looking to chip us back to the stone age bit by bit until they are happy and can feel secure milling their grain by hand and butcher their neighbors their 'gods' will.

Sorry if my view is a bit hard line but I get sick of these extreme religious nuts using their views as an excuse to subjugate others to their will.

Oh and another thing, they obviously have not taken into account that the earths magnetic field changes over time. I guess that ownes on their little theory then.

Yep. I have no problem with people playing with "god" in their own home, but when they come out telling others what to do because they had a "vision" (read; sniffed too much glue the night before) they can feck right off.
