Is anybody else having problems with E-mail system since its been migrated to synetrix? By problems I mean Emails not getting there or being recieved when I know that other companies have been Emailing me. I even sent one in from home last night just to test , not here this morning.

18th April 2008, 09:05 AM #2 not sure about that, but since the 'transition' a lot of people who previously had email accounts no longer do. we've got everyone to go via the 'migrate account' link but it just says no mailbox for user xxxx. yet with fujitsu they had an account. and with change freeze we cant do anything about it

I did have problems (lots) at the start. Mail was being returned with various error messages such as 'no mailbox exists for this user', 'there are multiple identites for this address' yadda yadda.
Took a lot of support calls to sort this out. It seems that (under the old system) if you changed your email address from the standard username one then you are in for a world of problems.

Change freeze lifted today + WAT released to Admins (fingers crossed this time)
EDIT: Remember to run UPN Reconciliation activity before making new users.

bonus, ive just logged in to login.embc.xxxx and found my account STILL hasn't been made an administrator. my boss is, and he asked that i be made one too.
best thing is i cant call up to request any of it, it has to be my boss or the head that requests i get admin access and my boss is on cover all day so that wont be happening

18th April 2008, 10:17 AM #11 emails not arriving
Hi guys,
We are not getting emails from our LA (LEAMIS team), Leics. we are not even with embc and were receiveing emails from them before the transition took place so it looks like there are issues with this.
I tried to call the LA who's got a message on the phone stating that i should contact Synetrix and when i did this they told me that they can't support us because we are not with them!! The LA uses EMBC so it the problem appears to be with them and not us as we have done all the testing we can and can send and recieve emails from various companies/schools etc.
Ash.

Sounds about right. The "not my problem guv'nor" attitude is rife

Looked in EMF? They could be getting blocked for a number of reasons.

18th April 2008, 07:37 PM #15 The other good thing about checking EMF s that you can see mail in ... this means you can see whether it is even getting routed to the mail filters. If it doesn't get there then you can start looking at DNS as an issue.
