    Ski trip music!

Here's an odd request then - I do the video editing for the College; school trips, plays and so on, and have been asked to put together a 'montage' of the school ski trip taken last month.

I am looking for suitable music that is somewhere between 6 - 10 mins in length that I can use as a backing track!

It needs to be lively, funky, not too trance, and compliment footage of skiiing, mountains, ski lifts etc.

I've got 'writers' block! I just can't find anything suitable.

I can edit the length of the music, i.e. if it's a short piece, I can either extend it by making it repeat, or simply make sections of it repeat to make it play longer. I would prefer instrumental.

I really can't think of any thing! Can you lot come up with some ideas!?!?

I have already done a short promo which was only 3 mins long, but now I need to do something longer.

Happy to download it from somewhere, or if someone actually has the music, happy to have it emailed over (copyright, what copyright? )

    So, thinking caps on!

    TIA

Yeah, I thought about that, but I don't think it's something the kids will 'warm' to, and some probably aren't familiar with it.

Darude's Sandstorm is a bit too 'trance', but that's the sort of beat I reckon I'm looking for.

    Not easy....

Search for "podsafe" music, or Creative Commons-licensed music, then you can post the finished video to YouTube or give to parents with no worries. Try these:

Podsafe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    How To Find Podsafe Music
    podsafe music network

    Edit:

These chaps (found through Google adds) seem very reasonable value for money at $30 (£15-ish) a track:

Something by vuneny might be good...any band that lists concrete as an instrument are definitely top.

Doves - Black and White Towns, we used it for our sound and vision competition a couple of years ago.

A few suggestions... You'll recognise some of these songs from advert, I've used them for videos and picture loops i've done in the past

    Mr. Scruff - Spandex Man
Mr. Scruff - Get a Move On
    Daft Punk - Voyager
Kinobe - Slip Into Something More Comfortable (Quite slow but very wintery relaxedness)
Faithless - Drifting Away (You'll prob want to edit the first 40seconds out)
    The Prodigy - 3 Kilos
    Royksopp - In Space
Fatboy Slim - Song For Lindy
Mark Ronson - God Put A Smile On Your Face

    That should be enough :P
I've got a folder full of this sort of music
