I went back to read that thread again and realised it's the river under the bridge... ooh and look here comes a tech, I mean, goat... and look who jumps out... It's johnbrow... oops I mean a troll...
I have to say Gary is winning my vote... what a wonderful anti-troll attitude he has... LOL...

No-one takes JB seriously ... the use of sock puppets over there also gets really annoying at times too.

I love these threads on TES just makes me chuckle. And our ict teachers love reading them and thinking just how wonderful our network must be compared to these staff.

I could think of a few things I'd call the TES posters but I think the moderators would remove it for foul language .

Take it as banter, we all love a good teacher bashing thread but i think if you take the techy bashing threads in good humour you will rise above them.
nothing better than to laugh at the person who is slagging you off, really gets the goat

LOL That JB chap is just trying to get a reaction. If he's genuinely saying those things because that's what he really thinks then he's probably Britains dumbest person!

How about a "thicket"
So what is the collective noun for a group of teachers anyway?

Diptreacles - I love it!
And I will call them that to myself - and possibly out loud now and again.
Just a point though - there are some rubbish techs out there. A few years ago I took another job in a high school -SPECIFICALLY because they had a senior tech and I wanted to be able to learn from someone (I'm on my own in my other jobs).
When I got there I found out that all he really did was reload every machine -(the long way, too -not imaged) irrespective of what the problem was - he didn't like going into the school and wanted me to be a pack mule, running around the school bringing him broken kit.
I asked if I could watch him and if he was going to let me learn ANYTHING (this was fairly early on in my life as a tech - I'd never even imaged a machine) and he said 'NO'
He is unhelpful, unpleasant and STILL THERE 5 years on.
Maybe JB works in his school?
