4th April 2008, 12:08 PM #4 We had a broken CD drive recently. Found a biro put in lengthways into the tray. Only found it after taking it out and it rattled.
There was a story going round staff at my old high school of a cheese sandwich stuffed inside an RM PC once. They must have thought it's a toaster

A condom.
No word of a lie. We opened up an old pc we'd taken out of service 6 months prior and were stripping for parts when we found it, we just hope it was unused.
To top it off we're a catholic school so the kids should'nt be touching things like that.

4th April 2008, 12:43 PM #9 I'm glad you can find your dead mice. We are still looking for the pair that keeled over in our distribution room a few months back.

4th April 2008, 12:59 PM #10 Helium. At a previous job, one enterprising soul had decided to try and make his laptop lighter by making it air tight and filling it full of the stuff. He then brought it into IT Tech support rather sheepishly complaining of it being unstable. The lack of ventilation had cooked it. I'm glad he didn't try and use Hydrogen, it would of probably exploded.

4th April 2008, 02:36 PM #14 Found a hand-written "love letter" folded up and poked into a floppy drive once... wasn't too bad an effort either... seemed the recepient didn't agree... the only real times the drives are used is when we image them, so didn't really bother trying to figure out who it was from/to...
