I've kept timetables of all the work I do in school, shows how I manage workload and how I plan my week out. Worth printing some of them?

I would say so, it shows your able to manage your time.
If you've got 1 or 2 from a very busy week (server crash or all staff going mad or something) then I'd take them too, showing that you can cope under pressure and are able to organise and prioritise your workload.

I wouldn't take anything with you unless a portfolio has been requested. You can always refer to it though giving it as an example of prioritising your workload and keeping a job log. This is especially good if there was no system before you started as it also shows inititiative. Be prepared to expand on any answers you give, so if you can relate any questions they ask to something you have planned or implemented in your current workplace use them as examples of your skills.

Yes even if you donít need them, your just basically trying to sell yourself and make yourself look good.

The pay isn't even that good when starting out to justify the change.
If you want better pay and don't mind a career change why don't you retrain as a gas fitter instead. You'd probably get on to a course quite easily at a local college or contruction skills centre because you're female, as the industry is looking to attract more female entrants.

For those interested I had my interview today. There were 84 applicants in total and a shortlist of 7! So I felt pretty good going into the interview. The interview itself went pretty well I thought, got a call when I got back to work offering me the job . Handed in my months notice today which I will start working the 7th. Chuffed

84 applicants! Christ, when i left my last place they struggled to get anybody apply. Might be because they were trying to pay peanuts though.
