    Hi All,

A question... there are 3 of us here and we have all received an amended job description headed "role profile form". It is without doubt the most appallingly typed document full of typos, aside from that there are areas which worry us as far as how we should respond to it. Our concern is how does this document (when corrected) affect our job description.

has anyone else had such a document?

On a lighter note we have all been told that our holiday entitlement has been increased to 24 weeks! So not all gloom and doom

First contact union get there view and how they feel you should go forward as if lea wide je thing then they probably got some official advice so that everyone does the same.

Also look at documents that come with it to see if there is appeal proccess (don't tell them about spelling mistakes until you appeal as adds weight to fact the document has been ill prepared.)

As said you need to speak to union you are a member I hope (if this site does one thing I hope it gets everyone on it to get an join a union as working in schools you need it).

Sure you're not being impaled onto a pro-rata arrangement?

If it was me, I'd send it back until it's typed properly, but that's just because I'm a pedantic git.

Looking at it from another viewpoint i.e. 24 weeks holiday a year you could just sign it and then take half a year off from now hehe

How embarassing for the union and the LEA if they've let a document like this out in to the wild. Who typed it up? A monkey? And as for the 24 weeks holiday - I'd sign it and then promptly book the next 6 months off and see what they say!

Yes, phone the LEA and ask if they've got a vacancy for the position of monkey trainer....

I doubt that a monkey would type as badly as this, it is typical of an inexperienced word user using tables with a fondness for the enter key! the result is sentences that have the end missing etc!... Looking forward to the 24 weeks :-) now where shall I go??
