    Anyone in the Witham-Chelmsford area?

    Hi

My daughter has moved to Essex (Witham) which is near Chelmsford. I am based in Somerset so cannot get there easily.

Her PC has failed. Basically the operating system just keeps booting in a cycle and does not allow access in safe mode etc. I have tried helping over the phone and have asked her to boot from CD but despite changing the BIOS settings the thing still wont boot from CD allowing the operating system to be repaired.

Does anyone have a contact near Witham that can repair the PC for her? I would get het to send the pc to my school here but it would not warrant the cost of postage.

    Any help appreciateed.

    Thanks

    Alex

    it's not Vista, is it?

I've had 3 "stuck in boot loop" machines across my desk with Vista now, in 2 weeks. Ridiculous that an autoupdate can break the OS..
