    I always advise people to never buy a second hand laptop over £100 no matter how good it is and I imagine other here feel the same

    Not at that sort of money, why don't you whack it on eBay - I reckon it'll do pritty well on there.

    We just got some HPs at similar (slightly better- 2 ghz) spec for about £309+vat = ~360 after cashback. Don't think we got THAT much of an educational discount.

    I prefer the HP business models, the home ones are too chunky. Plus they charge more for less in most cases.

    Sorry dude, but I doubt you'll get many takers at that price. I'd go for a local classified ad in your paper if I were you.
