It bounced our mirror wardrobe doors around and woke us both up...what a horrible minute of utter confusion that was...
"Which house are we in? Did we move yet? Which bedroom is this? Were those the wardrobes? WTF? Where's the bloody cat?"....
Jem sat up and said, very quietly..."did I dream that?"...
Quite surreal. Not helped by the fact that we live in an area renowned for land slippage..heh.

Yeah Pete subsequantly jumped out of bed and ran to the bedroom door (which i guess was a good thing - just in case the house fell down) thinking there was somebody in the house.
All good fun eh?
Glad we don't have a chimney though.... it could have fallen down!

it scared me in bradford
not because i was worried the house was falling down, but the last time i felt the bed shake like that, it was due to a large girlfriend i had, who had a nervous disposition.
And i was worried she was stalking me again, and slipped in un detected !

Woke me up too, It ws great fun listening to chavs over-exagerate it on Sky News "me house was shaking like paper innit mush", and see the poor (but very attractive) lass presenting try to make sence of it. Not usually much big news like this on her shift surely.

I was woken by what sounded like one of my storage boxes falling off a shelf in the attic, went upstairs and found nothing...
Bit confused, stuck head out of door and could hear neighbours talking... Figured, well it's not a nuke so went back to bed and my fiance, the geography teacher, opened one eye and gave the immortal line
I think I just stood there with my jaw hanging open...
It's just an earthquake, now come back to bed
