25th February 2008, 01:34 PM #5 So Pakistan are concerned with videos on YouTube with anti-pakistani or anti-Islamic content, so have banned the site. So, they're getting rid of content that could - COULD - contain offensive materials. Better block the entire internet then, and while they're at it, magazines, books, all writing and drawing implements, computers and mobile phones.

initial article on the Pakistan ban Don't China do the above already?
And a few years back, didn't China ban Google because they weren't based, or have an office in China?

Sounds like something they would do.
The Chinese government keeps a tight rein on the internet and what users can access. The BBC news site is inaccessible, while a search on Google.cn for the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement directs users to a string of condemnatory articles.

For the record, my previous post wasn't having a pop at Islam, i was having a pop at all backward societies and religions
I respect all religions, i just don't agree with them.
