Car is due for MOT very soon, I usually give my car a once over every week.. since Ive been in the motor trade I like to make sure everything is spot on... however I've noticed that there's no undertray on the engine... probs removed by the previous owner.
does anyone know if it Is this an MOT fail ?
Nope, Not all cars have trays on them.
The vast majority of our cars have never had a tray... including both our current ones. The only one that I can remember having a tray was our Laguna in the 1990s. It is definitely not required... and probably was never fitted in the first place.
Thanks for that advice everyone....I just wanted to sort of throw it out there and see what anyone else had experience with... I know not all cars have them but mine was designed to have one so ya never know.
Thanks all....much appreciated.
I shouldn't think it would be an issue as the under tray is essentially just 'trim' anyway in most cases.
Definitely not! I ran my old car without an under-tray for a few years and it flew through MOT's (I took mine off intentionally as it was dragging on the floor).
Mine passed its MOT today with no major work...phew!
I put mine in last Monday, 0 fails 0 advisories! First time any of my cars haven't failed on something haha.
Took mine off years ago because it was a pain to remove and refit when I wanted to do an oil change.
Thanks for all the replies all.
Have a nice day all.
